Small Wooden Shoe is named after the tools French workers would use to "clog" the machinery when on strike. Their “sabot” – small wooden shoes – gave English the word “sabotage.”

This a post to acknowledge that I've fallen off thethe blog wagon this week

like many year turning it's harder once we're back in our regular lives.

In this case the regular life of being at Dancemakers in rehearsal with Ame Henderson and preparing to soundproof a wall in my apartment. both good, but not great for the writing.

Also, planning trips to Edmonton for Canoe Festival and Performance Creation Canada (January 20-23) and Vancouver for relay (also in Edmonton) and PusH (Jan 24-Feb 22.)

I hope to be back on track next week with posts on more conversation starters and some news on populism thinking.
