That this disciplinary mixing will be a considered assumption of every project. Post-disciplinary make no such assumptions. Having worked though “multi” and “inter,” “post” argues that disciplinary assumptions are no longer useful. That art work and artists no longer require of themselves a primary distinction.
Yet “Post” anything must know what went before. It cannot be ignorant of the events of the past. There is no such thing as a clean start. Start from the mess and move towards something. Something that might be called truth.
Curiosity must be the primary cause of movement. Movement without true curiosity is advertisement.
Nothing is ruled out. Nothing ruled in.
Rigour is required. Not everything goes.
Waking up is evidence of hope. Artwork even more so.
There is good and bad fun. Good fun is essential.
Separation between emotion, body and intellect is destroying the world. It’s also resulting in bad art.
When doing something strange, it is best to be relaxed. A willingness to approach strangeness is worth more then knowing the terrain.(for NW)
Lying is another word for imagination. The pursuit of the truth does not exclude imagination, it requires it.
Not being able to do something is no excuse not to. How else will we learn?
There is something above us. And below. Move towards that.
Have something to say. It’s possible to change your mind later.
